Liz Whitehurst
Director of Finance
Liz Whitehurst is Director of Finance at The Sir John Brunner Foundation, a role she has held since July 2025. Liz brings over twenty years of experience as a management accountant and nearly two decades as a senior leader and director. Her career has combined financial leadership with responsibility for HR, Estates, Compliance, Health & Safety, and Risk Management, most recently as Chief Operating Officer and CFO at the Halliard Trust from 2019 to 2025. Before moving into education in 2011, Liz held senior finance and operations roles in the Legal Services sector. Alongside her professional career, Liz qualified as a part-time youth worker and has been involved in voluntary youth and community work for much of her working life, reflecting her strong commitment to improving the lives of children young people.
